The Williamstown Youth Center is just one non-profit agency providing recreational opportunities in the Northern Berkshires. We focus on in-house team and individual sports. If a travel program better suits the needs of you and your child, we’re happy to refer you to an appropriate agency. Here’s some contact information for area travel programs, as well as for sports that we don’t currently offer (such as Softball and Baseball.)
Softball
The Northern Berkshire Softball League is your contact for softball. They offer separate divisions for girls grades 1-3, 4-6, and grades 7-10.
Interested parents should call Barbara Walsh at 458-1681, or email ba.walsh@adelphia.net. Applications are also available at the Youth Center.
Travel Lacrosse
Travel lacrosse is offered through the Williamstown Lacrosse Association. The Williamstown Lacrosse Association, (WLA) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization which offers boys and girls in the Greylock School district and other surrounding towns (grades 1-8) as well as the varsity clubs at Mount Greylock, an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of lacrosse in a safe, respectful and fun environment. Their website is www.williamstownlax.com.
Baseball
Baseball in Williamstown is offered through the Cal Ripken Organization. Cal Ripken is on the web at www.williamstowncalripken.com
